STANDARD TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. DEFINITIONS

1.1 “The Company” refers to Ceramic Pro.
1.2 “The “Customer” or “Purchaser” refers to the party who has requested the service with Ceramic Pro, or any person with whom Ceramic Pro contracts as a result of any offer to purchase service(s) from Ceramic Pro, and includes the Customers representatives, successors and permitted assigns.
1.3 “Contract” or “Order” refers to any contract or agreement arising out of the acceptance of any offer to purchase service(s) from Ceramic Pro, whether such Contract arises as a result of:
1.3.1 an offer made by Ceramic Pro and accepted by the Customer; or
1.3.2 an offer made, or order placed by the Customer and accepted by Ceramic Pro; or
1.3.3 an offer made, or order placed by the Customer in response to a quotation from Ceramic Pro.
1.4 “Service(s)” means the subject matter of the Contract, as supplied or to be supplied by Ceramic Pro.

2. ORDERS AND ACCEPTANCE

2.1 These terms and conditions shall apply to any Contract in terms of which Ceramic Pro agrees to sell service(s) to the Customer, to the exclusion of any terms and conditions which the Purchaser may seek to make applicable.
2.3 A Contract shall come into existence when Ceramic Pro accepts an order placed by the customer for delivery of service(s) or when the Purchaser accepts any offer to sell, or requests a quotation for delivery service(s) marketed by Ceramic Pro by
conveying such acceptance, whether verbal, written or WhatsApp / Text message, to Ceramic Pro.

3. PAYMENT

3.1 Payment is COD and due immediately upon completion of the service provided. Our technicians have been advised to not leave the premise until full payment is received, unless otherwise agreed to in writing by Ceramic Pro Management.
3.2 The full invoice total is payable immediately, without deduction or set-off, of whatever nature, unless otherwise agreed to in writing by Ceramic Pro Management.
3.3 Any amount not paid by the Customer to Ceramic Pro after job completion shall bear interest from due date to the date of final payment at the maximum rate permissible from time to time, in terms of the Usury Act Number 73 off 1968 (as amended), or any other applicable South African legislation.
3.4 In the event of action being instituted by Ceramic Pro against the Customer for the enforcement of Ceramic Pro’s rights in terms of any Contract, then the Customer shall be obliged to pay Ceramic Pro’s cost of such action on an attorney and own client’s scale including any collection commission payable in terms of South African Law.

4. WAIVER

5. GENERAL

5.1 Ceramic Pro hereby accepts no responsibility for theft, damage, fire, riots, or any circumstances beyond our control. It is solely done at your own risk. | have been advised to remove all items of value from the vehicle which are not required in order to carry out the work when either leaving the vehicle at Ceramic Pro’s premises or whilst the vehicle is under my possession.
5.2 If there is any pre-existing damage, | am aware and understand that it is there and cannot be repaired. All pre-existing damages are clearly shown on the job card and or video footage or photographs which have been done by Ceramic Pro upon inspection.
5.3 Should a vehicle be repainted; | understand that the coating or products applied may not work 100% as it should. This information MUST be disclosed prior to commencing the job by Ceramic Pro. It is preferred to apply the coating to freshly painted surface after 14 days. This allows the paint to fully cure before any work is carried out by Ceramic Pro. We will not be held responsible for any damages thereafter.
5.4 Photo release authorisation permission - | agree that Ceramic Pro may use such photographs of me and my property with or without my name and for any lawful purpose, including for example such purposes as publicity, illustration, advertising, and web content.
5.5 All your contact information provided to Ceramic Pro i.e., telephone, email & address etc., will not be sold or re-distributed to a third party whatsoever. It is solely used for invoicing, maintenance intervals and warranty purposes.
5.6 Failure to have your vehicles bi-annual maintenance, will result in your warranty being cancelled.
5.7 Film, badge, & decal removal - Film, badge, and decal removal may cause the paint to be damaged. By authorising Ceramic Pro to proceed with removal, the client hereby acknowledges the risk, waives any claims against Ceramic Pro and agrees that Ceramic Pro will not be liable if damage does occur during the removal process.
5.8 It is at your sole discretion to add the Ceramic Pro Coating and or PPF/Vinyl to your insurance when completed.

CERAMIC PRO COATING – BIANNUAL MAINTENANCE

Overview

In order to maintain your Ceramic Pro coating package and warranty, it is necessary to perform a bi-annual Ceramic coating maintenance. Although durable and long lasting, annual inspections ensure maximum gloss and protection. The cost for the bi-annual maintenance is R 800.00 + VAT.
The bi-annual maintenance typically takes half a day to perform. If any additional work is needed it will extend that timeframe.
The bi-annual maintenance is necessary to maintain the warranty on your Ceramic Pro coating. Failure to perform the biannual maintenance, will result in your warranty being voided.
This document will go over what is included in the bi-annual maintenance (what is included and what is not included)

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE CERAMIC PRO BI-ANNUAL MAINTENANCE:

A complete interior and exterior detail of your vehicle.
An inspection of the condition of your Ceramic Pro Coating.
An inspection of your vehicle’s paint to determine if any additional work is needed.
During the inspection we are looking for the following:
- The hydrophobic properties of your Ceramic Pro Coating
- Excessive water spots on your vehicle’s paint
- Excessive swirling or scratches in your vehicle’s paint
An application of Ceramic Pro Care+ to your vehicle’s paint to restore the top layer of your Ceramic Pro coating
package.

WHAT IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE CERAMIC PRO BI-ANNUAL MAINTENANCE:

Excessive water spot removal
Buffing or polishing of the vehicle’s paint to remove any scratches or swirling, due to incorrect washing methods.
Repair to any damage caused by bug etching, tree sap, or bird droppings.
Re-application of Ceramic Pro 9H or Ceramic Pro Top-Coat.
If any excessive damage is found during the bi-annual maintenance, we will notify you as to what steps will be needed to restore your vehicle’s finish and your Ceramic Pro coating. Any additional work to be carried out, a formal quotation will be submitted by Ceramic Pro to you. These steps could include:
- A light polish to remove light water spotting or swirling.
- A multi-stage paint correction to remove heavy water spotting, deep scratches, heavy swirling, or light environmental etching
- Wet sanding of any major imperfections or environmental etching (charge will vary by vehicle)
- Re-application of Ceramic Pro 9H and Ceramic Pro Top-Coat will be necessary if a multistage paint correction
  or any wet sanding is performed. (Charges will vary by vehicle)

CERAMIC PRO COATING

1. CURING TIME

Your new Ceramic Pro coating will be touch dry after 3 hours but will take 7-14 days to fully cure. Do not wash your vehicle until the curing process is complete. Your vehicle can only be hand washed thereafter to maintain coating performance. Machine or tunnel car washes will void all warranty.

5. WET SANDING

Wet sanding is used to remove the top layer of a vehicle’s clear coat. Because of the risks associated with wet sanding, Ceramic Pro only uses this technique when there are only 2 options for the affected area: wet sand or repaint. Therefore, Ceramic Pro assumes no responsibility for repair to the affected area should wet sanding cause additional damage. It is highly recommended that after a vehicle has been wet sanded, that Ceramic Pro 9H be applied after, to replenish the clear coat to the vehicle’s paint.

11. BI-ANNUAL INSPECTIONS

Bi-annual Inspections are the recommended process for ensuring the coating is maintained and care for the vehicle is properly executed. There is a cost for bi-annual inspections (R 800.00 + VAT) and includes: hand wash, decontamination, & Ceramic Pro Care+ coating applied to vehicle’s exterior. The Bi-annual inspection is required to maintain the warranty on the coating. Failure to maintain the coating will result in the warranty being cancelled.

1. DRYING TIME

Your new paint protection film will take 3 – 4 weeks to fully cure depending on weather conditions. Do not wash your vehicle for 7 days. Wrapped vehicles should be returned for inspection within 2 weeks.

7. IMPERFECTIONS

Though we strive for perfection in our installations, due to the nature of the product, some degree of dust contamination and or minor imperfections are present in every PPF/Wrap Film application, also pre-existing flaws, scratches, and stone chips on the paint are often much more noticeable after the PPF/Wrap film is installed. Paint Protection/Wrap Film will have minor imperfections like orange peel and adhesion lines. Used and older vehicles will have more imperfections due to their age.

8. PHOTO RELEASE AUTHORISATION PERMISSION

PPF/VINYL WRAP REMOVAL DISCLAIMER & LIABILITY RELEASE

OVERVIEW

Removal of PPF/vinyl wrap has inherent risks. The biggest of those risks is that paint may lift due to aged adhesive, or weak bond of paint underneath. Because we have no way to know the condition of the paint underneath the PPF we cannot be responsible for paint lifting, clear coat damage, scratches, discoloration, or any other paint defect that is either caused during the removal process or that was present but not visible prior to removal.

We take every precaution to minimise these risks including:

Heating the panel with a steamer
Applying hot water prior to removal
Using a heat gun when necessary
Using plastic razor blades when necessary
Using paint safe solvent when necessary

By signing this document, I acknowledge that Ceramic Pro will take every precaution necessary to mitigate the above risks, but I do not hold them responsible for any pre-existing damage or damage caused by the removal of the PPF/vinyl wrap. Additionally, I agree that Ceramic Pro will charge an hourly rate or a flat rate to remove film and cannot provide a 100% accurate estimate prior to completion of the project. Although we do take the best processes and procedures, please note that there is always a risk of removing PPF or Vinyl and could cause or leave damages in the paint. Ceramic Pro is therefore not held responsible for such instances, it is solely at your own risk.

WET SANDING & PAINT RESTORATION DISCLAIMER AND LIABILITY RELEASE

Wet sanding and paint restoration can be used for two reasons. The most common is to remove damage from a vehicle’s paint. Typically, this damage is scratching, swirling, marring or blemishes caused by bird faeces, tree sap or other organic material. Wet sanding can also be used to make factory OEM or aftermarket paint appear better by removing orange peel or haze. Compared to repainting, wet sanding is a much more cost-effective way to correct the appearance of your existing paint. Additionally, wet sanding keeps your factory paint intact. In most cases factory paint will outlast aftermarket paint as
well as have a superior appearance.

RISKS OF WET SANDING AND PAINT RESTORATION:

Wet sanding removes the top layer of the clear coat. All paint jobs are different, and all defects are unique. The potential risks of wet sanding are:

The damage may lay beneath the layer of clear coat that can be removed.
The damage to the paint may have caused the paint to be brittle which could then cause an appearance of further damage during the correction steps.
Previous work performed on the vehicle may have weakened some areas on the paint.
These and other variables bring the potential for burning or cutting too much off, the clear coat.

CERAMIC PRO RELEASE OF LIABILITY

Because of the risks associated with wet sanding, Ceramic Pro only uses this technique when there are only two options for the affected area: wet sand or repaint. Therefore, Ceramic Pro assumes no responsibility for the repair to the affected area should the wet sanding not improve the damage, and or cause additional damage.

After the completion of wet sanding Ceramic Pro highly encourages the application of Ceramic Pro 9H. Ceramic Pro will permanently replenish some of the clear coat that was removed during the restoration process.

WINDOW FILM

1. DRYING TIME

Your new window film will take 24 – 48 hours before you can roll down or clean your windows on the inside. It will take 1 week to fully cure depending on weather conditions.
